No, Saint Eugene School did not defy the stay at home orders or break any rules. Saint Eugene School created new precedents during the COVID-19 Crisis. Our school building may have closed, but we continued teaching and learning every single day to ensure our students remained on track in their education.
The last three months affected everyone in various ways, with all schools, public, private, parochial, and charter, closing their doors for the remainder of the school year. Saint Eugene School and every school within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia stayed open. Using Zoom, Google Docs, and many other forms of digital technology, students and teachers continued to meet each day to go over their lessons and complete their assignments. We have had the ability to meet our students’ educational needs since March 13, 2020. We easily adapted to distance learning while hitting the ground running, and successfully completed the race. Should we find ourselves in the situation of moving to distance learning again, Saint Eugene School is more than prepared.
While other schools in the Philadelphia region found their doors closed and found themselves unable to successfully provide new instruction from home, Saint Eugene School stayed open. Parents unsatisfied with the state of their child’s education through COVID-19, considerSaint Eugene School! We have the proven ability to move into a distance learning mode. While no one could have predicted having to do school this way, know that Saint Eugene School was able and will be able in the future to put the students’ education and their individual needs first.
Contact us today to enroll your child at Saint Eugene School. We pray that come Fall we will meet for the 2020-2021 school year in person, but should we remain at home, we are prepared and welcome the challenge.
